Douglas Goshomi
Douglas was born in 1986, in Masvingo. At a very early age the desire to be an artist was noticed by Douglas’s parents, who encouraged him to spend much of his time outside of primary school with established artists.
Through this interaction Douglas was exposed to the various techniques need to fashion raw stone into the forms he was trying to express. As his skills progressed his passion became more focused, and by the time he finished his education he focused all of his time and energy on his artwork.
After graduating he moved to Harare and studied under the tutelage of world-renowned artist Colleen Madamombe (R.I.P). After Colleens passing Douglas ventured out on his own, signing up to work in the artist community at Tsindi Art Center
